Where on the hand: Not a single marking: a combination read across the Fate line, Sun line, Life line, Head line, the finger set, the thumb and all the mounts together.

What it looks like: A hand in which the Fate and Sun lines both run deep, clean and unbroken to their mounts, the fingers are straight with level bases, the thumb is strong and supple, and every mount is well raised.

**The bases of the fingers should be level** — at minimum, three of the four should share the same base line.
**A long Saturn (middle) finger** — indicating both money and success.
**Straight fingers** overall.
**A strong, straight, supple thumb** — durability of will.
**All mounts well elevated** — especially a full, well-raised Mount of Jupiter, clean of adverse marks.
**A well-developed Mount of Apollo** to receive the Sun line.
**A reddish palm colour** — auspicious in Indian doctrine.
**A soft hand with good tolerance.**

Reinforcing marks

**A star on the Mount of Jupiter** — leadership.
**A fish (matsya)** near the wrist or thumb base.
**A square** — protection.
**A lotus.**

Delaying factors

**The Sun line interrupted** — success is deferred.
**Inauspicious marks on the Jupiter area.**
**The Venus mount rising abnormally high.**

Western reading: The functional equivalent is "the successful hand" — strong Fate, strong Sun, good Head line, firm thumb and a well-shaped Jupiter mount — which Cheiro built his celebrity readings on, but which has no name.
