Also called: Displacements of the mounts · Apex migration
Where on the hand: Read on every mount of the palm by locating its apex — the small tented convergence of skin ridges — and noting which neighbour it has drifted toward.
What it looks like: Not a mark but a position: the apex sitting off-centre within the mount's territory, pulled toward a finger, a neighbouring mount, a main line, or the edge of the hand.
The single most useful table in the classical literature, since a displaced mount is the norm rather than the exception. Read as: the apex of mount X has migrated toward Y, therefore the two natures blend in this specific named way.

Western reading: The table descends from Benham and the Professional Palmistry tradition and is the backbone of Western mount reading.
Read with care: Two rows are disputed: Saturn displaced toward the Sun is favourable in Benham but adverse in Indian sources (laziness, poverty, dependence, pessimism, business failure), and Saturn toward Jupiter is morbid pride in the West but social respectability in India.
