Where on the hand: A short line lying on the Mount of Jupiter, below the index finger, slanting across the mount — typically running down-and-inward from the radial edge. It may be a floating line entirely on the mount, or begin at the palm's radial edge, or spring from the Life line.

What it looks like: A single short diagonal stroke across the body of the Jupiter mount, not curving around the finger's base.

A compassionate, understanding, humane nature. Characteristically, people with it are private about their own difficulties and unwilling to burden others — which makes them exceptionally good listeners. It is associated with counselling, teaching, nursing, pastoral and social work.
