Where on the hand: Dale's Indian Palmistry describes a line running upward from the Saturn (Fate) line through the Moon mount, and in its fullest form ascending toward the little finger.

What it looks like: An ascending line crossing the Luna mount from the direction of the Fate line, judged on whether it is uniform and proportionate or cut and distorted.

In Dale's archaic Indian text this is a line of fortunate travel — not an appetite or health line at all. A uniform, proportionate Via Lactea gives fortunate journeys, a good brain, the favour of women and graceful speech.

Read with care: "Favour of women" is period language from an 1895-era text; the name Via Lactea is routinely conflated with Via Lascivia in later sources, producing wrong readings.
