Quality of the handbothuniversal
Also called: Bracelet longevity count · 25 years per bracelet
Where on the hand: Counted on the horizontal bracelet creases encircling the wrist at the very base of the palm.
What it looks like: Each clear, unbroken, well-formed bracelet counted as a block of years; broken or chained bracelets subtract from the total.
A classical rule found in many old texts of both traditions: each perfect bracelet stands for 25 or 30 years of life, so three perfect bracelets give 75 to 90 years. Modern practitioners of both schools treat this as folklore rather than method.
Read with care: This is a lifespan-prediction rule the sources themselves label dubious and folkloric. Record it as tradition; never present it as a forecast of how long someone will live.
