Where on the hand: Anywhere on the palm; named in the lists of marks on the divine hands and soles.

What it looks like: A slender wavy stem with small buds or flowers set alternately along it — a climbing creeper rather than a tree: no trunk, no root mass, just a line that winds upward with leaves on either side.

The creeper is the classical image of a desire that grows by clinging to what it seeks. Read on a hand it is taken as fame that spreads by itself like a scent, as a life that grows by attaching to worthy people and causes, and — in the devotional sense — as the 'desire-creeper' of one who takes shelter and thereafter flourishes.
