Where on the hand: Palm surface; among the queen-making marks in Bṛhat Saṃhitā 70, and part of the centre-of-palm configuration with śakti, tomara, chariot-wheel and flag.

What it looks like: A straight line with a small V or two short strokes at one end forming the head, and sometimes two short flights at the other end.
