Where on the hand: Palm surface, most significant in the upper and central palm.

What it looks like: A rectangle or square open at the top, with a vertical back-panel rising from one of its upper corners — an L- or chair-shaped figure, sometimes with two short downward strokes as legs. In Jain iconography (bhadrāsana) it is a low, wide seat with a decorated back.
