Where on the hand: Palm surface.

What it looks like: A small closed oval or rounded figure in profile, with a short projecting stroke at one side for the nose and one or two fine strokes above for hair — a head in outline, no body, no limbs.

Dale (fig. 19) groups it with hill, wristlet and pitcher as together making the bearer almost sure to rise to the exalted position of a minister of state. The 32-sign list gives 'human being' as: the person becomes head of the village.
