Finger or thumbwesternvery-rare
Also called: Inspiration loop · Loop of genius
Where on the hand: Low in the palm between the Mount of Venus and the Mount of Luna, in the region above the wrist that some schools call Neptune; other sources place it in the middle of the Mount of Luna.
What it looks like: A loop of ridges rising vertically out of the base of the palm, its head pointing toward the fingers.
Read as creative inspiration arriving from outside the reasoning mind — ideas that appear whole, without being worked out. Sources associate it with composers, poets and inventors, and with people whose work is felt to have raised or changed something for others. It is counted among the rarest of the palmar loops.
