Where on the hand: A semicircular line encircling the base of the middle (Saturn) finger.

What it looks like: A semicircular line arching round the base of the middle finger, its two ends turning down toward the palm — a collar closed above the Saturn mount.

In the Indian reading — contra the Western, where it is usually negative — the ring of Saturn indicates magical and occult powers.

Read with care: The Indian and Western traditions read this mark in opposite directions; note the disagreement rather than picking one. RECONCILED. The Western reading of the Ring of Saturn is negative (it blocks the mount: pessimism, morbidity, preoccupation with death). An Indian minority reading takes it as a mark of occult capacity. Both are recorded; they are not the same claim, and the Western one is the majority position. Note also that the 'only the Ring of Solomon is read as positive' rule stated elsewhere has at least three exceptions in this reference.
