Where on the hand: On any phalange of any of the four fingers. The finger decides the department of life affected.

What it looks like: A dark raised or flat spot in the skin, distinct from a dot or a temporary mark.

Uniformly adverse in the Indian reading, and read separately from every other mark. Each finger's mole is assigned a specific area of loss.
