Where on the hand: Palm surface; naturally strongest on Chandra Parvat, the Moon mount on the outer edge. One distinctive Hindi reading places it across the two joined palms — when both palms are placed together, the outer edges together form a crescent.

What it looks like: Two arcs of different curvature meeting at two sharp horns — a lunate. The full-moon form is a plain small circle.
