Where on the hand: Palm surface, wherever a small closed round figure forms.

What it looks like: A closed circle or near-circle with a clean empty interior — no internal spokes, no hub, no radiating rays outside it. Distinguished from the chakra precisely by the absence of spokes.

A weaker relative of the chakra. Where the wheel confers sovereignty, the plain circle is read as a lesser sign of the same family; the '32 signs' list gives 'wheel/circle' as marking a devotee of Viṣṇu.
