What it looks like: A single long arc, with a straight chord-line joining its two tips (the string). The 'unstrung bow' variant, found in the Gauḍīya lists, is the arc alone with no chord.

Bravery, the ability to defeat enemies, victory. Also, distinctively for a weapon-mark: a noble character and a peaceful married life with a virtuous spouse. Serena Powers calls it 'a rare mark found on the hands of royalty, millionaires and great people.'

Western reading: Mrs. Dale, fig. 11, reads bow with arrow and spear as the throne-configuration.
