काल निर्णय · kaal nirnay
Also called: Kaal nirnay · Timing systems overview · Chronology on the hand
Where on the hand: Applies to every line that carries a chronology — chiefly the Life, Head, Heart, Fate, Sun, Marriage and Travel lines.
What it looks like: A scale mentally (or on a print, physically) laid along a line, dividing its course into dated segments.
There is no single agreed timing system in either tradition; several competing methods exist for the same line and they do not always agree. The governing rule is calibration: fix the scale against events already known to have happened on the client's own hand before dating anything forward.
Read with care: Timing systems disagree with one another by many years, and the Heart line in particular is regarded by experienced readers as untimeable. Never present a dated prediction as fixed.
